Cookies and browser storage are different

Cookies can accompany requests to a website. Local storage and IndexedDB hold information in your browser, including preferences and saved work. Removing site data can remove all of these, not just cookies.

Account and session storage

BHARIT uses a secure, HttpOnly session cookie for shared sign-in across bharit.com and app.bharit.com, plus a sign-in status indicator. Authentication services may use related storage to complete sign-in. Signing out ends the session; it does not erase every locally saved document.

Appearance and saved work

Your light/dark appearance, colour, country and tool preferences may be saved on this device. Tools can use local storage or IndexedDB for drafts, records and backups. Appearance settings include bharit-appearance and bharit-landing-colour.

Payments and linked websites

Payment checkout and sign-in providers may use their own essential session or security storage when you interact with them. Sponsor links and official-service links lead to third-party websites with separate policies.

Manage data on your device

Use browser site settings to inspect, block or remove cookies and storage. Blocking essential session storage can prevent sign-in or checkout from working. Export your work first: clearing site data can permanently delete local records.

This page is an explanation of existing storage, not a consent switch. If optional analytics or advertising tracking is introduced, appropriate controls and disclosures need to be provided before it is used.
